This digital object has been developed from the University of Barcelona in Pedagogy Degree context, most specifically, in Digital and Visual Culture in Social and Education Environments Subject.


Nowadays there is an increasing consume of Youtube videos from youth. This platform allows to users create and watch contents, choosing with absolute freedom what they want to show as well as what they want to see. We found out that a lot of channels from unknown youtubers have arisen in the last years and became popular, that is, growing the number of followers through the upload of new youtube videos. Then, we saw that such followers feel somehow akin to these youtubers. For instance, some of them use their sentences, buy the same clothes and brands, even they buy some youtubers merchandising.

As consumers of some famous youtubers, we decided analyze under pedagogical perspective two of them ( Luzuvlogs and Jpelirrojo) to explore which kind of education they foster, considering Youtube as a platform that could promote other educational processes out of school. For example the DIY movements, where the main aim is to learn something in a cheap, fast and useful way, as well as fostering recycling of materials.
