This is the work a group of students of Year 10 developed for the Project “The city I want to live in” for Technology. The work shows how we did work to make our air pollution detector application. First, we investigated about the levels of air pollution in our city and realised that they are really high depending on the areas of the city, times of the year and weather conditions. The we discussed, reached a deal and then developed the idea in the form of a web app in Technology class. The app would provide the town dwellers with an online system of control of the air pollution that provides them with the possibility of knowing the levels of pollution there and then.
We also show our personal reasons for developing this device and the environmental and health benefits our application will provide to our city.
Finally, we thought about our learning process, what we have learnt and how.
