Authors: 5th grade students

Summary: In 5th grade, Social Science students learn about how human beings have been communicating to each other in different ways through history, so they learn about smoke signals, carrier pigeons, messengers on horse, messengers on foot, the telegraph, the phone, the cell phone and the smartphones.

After introducing these different ways of communication, students chose one of them and studied it deeply. Students were grouped by their own interests and worked collaboratively in order to research useful information, sum it up, analyse it and put it together creating a digital product. Last but not least, students had to present their work to their classmates, so all students could learn a more about each way of communication.
